Baby ain't got back...

I have a nice little story for you today.

Once upon a time, I had this wonderful round bubble butt that I was very fond of. It looked fabulous in jeans and down right killer in skirt and dresses. I was blessed.

Then, I got pregnant and the booty got a bit out of control, but I was pregnant, so there was nothing that could be done and I just enjoyed every moment of being exceptionally round that I could.

After giving birth to my amazing son, I assumed my booty would just resume it's rightful proportions and all would be well with the world... I was ever so wrong. I began to notice that pre-pregnancy clothes were not fitting the same in the derriere as they used to. I was getting this strange sagging of extra fabric. What could this be?!?!

Turns out, upon vacating the premises, my little tenant had taken with him my beloved booty.

I was devestated. I even had an identity crisis of sorts. And now, a year later, I have what cannot even be rightfully called a booty; I have an anti-booty.

Jean shopping has been a nightmare since. I still have wide-ish hips but no butt or thighs to fill out the rest of the pants so when I find a pair that fit my hips, the sagging in the butt and thighs is quite depressing. But conversely, if they fit wonerfully in the butt and thighs, inevitably, I cannot button them. EVER.

I finally resigned myself to having to spend a fortune just to get jeans that fit normally.

Try 399 元。 And that is the SALE price. I hunted down good old Levis in China and was flabberghasted at the price tag. The cheapest regular price pair was 699 元. I got lucky and they had one pair that fit me on the clearance rack... but holy sticker shock.

The good news is that now I can wear a 28inch waist Levi, but I am still mourning the loss of that fabulous booty.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your booty. It's not gone will live in your memory forever. =)

I'm terrified of what will happen to my bbs. =0 I'm sporting I's right now and I have a horrible fear that they'll be best friends with my belly button by the time I've had babies and am done bfing!

Sarah R said...'s the breastfeeding. I lost a ton of weight, and by last summer, a lot of my clothes weren't fitting anymore. I seemed to have gained a few pounds back since then, and I'm right where I want to be now.

I'm sure you look fabulous--we are often our own harshest critics. Blame the Chinese jeans being different than the American ones. ;)

Way cute way to tell your story, bummer about the truth of it.
I remember tellin my mom after having DS, "Now I know why there so cut, to make up for what we lost".

Oh, I totally know what you are talking about. I feel like my butt just spread out in a pancake like way, and my hips never got slimmer again. Good thing our kids are so freaking cute!

Your the first that I have heard of that has lost thier booty from the baby! My booty- well- definatly didnt get lost! Quite the opposite!

I'm with B- my bbs are out of control and after the whole baby/breastfeeding thing is all done with... yeah... they will be cuddling with my belly button.

Thank goodness our kids are CUTE! ;-)

Umm....a huge yea that. Good grief pants shopping is a friggin' joke. Nice to know though it's not my massive weight loss so much as it's a mom thing. Thanks again Gabi lol.
