My friend has GERD but I'm afraid to say I don't know too much about it other than how uncomfortable it makes her feel. :-( I hate to see babies in any type of pain cuz they just don't understand.

I hope your sweet pea feels better soon.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527158483146202127.post-42056585998541073362008-04-25T18:07:00.000+08:002008-04-25T18:07:00.000+08:00((hugs)) Jessi... My older child, my daughter Av...((hugs)) Jessi... My older child, my daughter Ava (who is almost 3) had severe acid reflux from the day she was born. It was awful, but the treatment for it has come a long way, even since a few years ago when we had to deal with it.

I'm so glad your pedi was so helpful in giving you things to try and prescribing you Zantac right away. A lot of docs like to avoid meds and try other stuff to manage it, and some don't even want to officially diagnose GERD at all without further testing, but this leaves the baby suffering in the meantime, so I am SO glad your doc seems to be helping you out.

With Ava, we started her on Zantac at about 2 weeks old, and she got it twice a day. But for us, her situation went downhill. I hate to drone on in your blog, (or instill unnecessary fear, because I think her situation was pretty crazy and definitely not "the norm"!) I'd love to help and give you any advice I can, so if you want to email me, please feel free to do so. kwhetzel4 AT hotmail DOT com.

Hang in there. It is a rough time, but with the proper treatment you can manage it very well. And Ava grew out of her GERD - it seems like out of the blue - at around 10-11 months. You and little Quinlon will be in my thoughts!Karinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05956727380152796331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7527158483146202127.post-64093856964131775072008-04-25T11:11:00.000+08:002008-04-25T11:11:00.000+08:00I hope the next few days will show a change in Q a...I hope the next few days will show a change in Q and that he'll be back to himself soon.
